The tour enters the Vatican Museums at 8:00 am, but starts at 7:35 am. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated under any circumstances.
The first portion of the itinerary is very fast-paced and the tour is therefore suitable neiher for wheelchair users nor people with walking difficulties. In such cases, we strongly recommend booking a Private Tour as the guide will be able to adjust the itinerary to your needs.
All Vatican Tours involve a fair amount of walking; wearing comfortable shoes is highly recommended.
The Vatican Museums’ direction and the Basilica of St. Peter require all visitors’ knees and shoulders to be covered. ‘What a Life Tours’ does not take any responsibility for participants rejected by authorities due to improper apparel.
The Basilica of St. Peter is an active parish and therefore subject to unforeseen closures for spiritual celebrations. In such cases we will, if possible, contact you in advance with an alternative tour time or itinerary.
Bags, backpacks or luggage measuring more than 40·35·15 centimeters are not allowed into the Vatican Museums and must be stored at the cloakroom.
The same applies to large umbrellas, tripods and objects that could be harmful to other visitors or damage works of art in the Museums. Be aware that the cloakroom is located approximately 20 minutes’ walk from the conclusion point of the Vatican tours.
